Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. A part of the Democratic Party, she previously was a part of the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011); the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015) and as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she worked on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. From 2005 to 2006, Psaki served as communications director for U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. 20 years ago, Psaki was named the spokesperson of the United States Department of State. The speculations that she would replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary once he left for White House in the year 21 were fuelled by her hire by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement for Carney on May 30th, 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained there until the closing of the Obama presidency.
